Associate Director, Ferris State University Charter Schools Office 

Christopher joined the Ferris State University Charter Schools Office as the Associate Director in January of 2021. His responsibilities include oversight of academy finances and academic performance, as well as leading the school support team. Prior to taking his current role, he had the opportunity to work with students, staff and parents in both the traditional and charter school setting. In the traditional public-school setting, he held positions as a teacher, athletic director, middle school principal, elementary school principal and assistant superintendent for instruction. His experience in charter schools includes time as an elementary principal and then superintendent for a charter academy in northwest Michigan. Christopher received his BS in elementary education from Northern Michigan University, his Masters in Education from Ferris State University, his Educational Specialist from Grand Valley State University and his Doctorate in Education from Central Michigan University.
