Statewide Authorizer Legislation
NACSA believes that statewide, independent authorizers can provide an excellent infrastructure for high-quality charter school authorizing. They have statewide jurisdiction to expand educational opportunities and are focused solely on charter school authorizing. A number of states and the District of Columbia now have statewide independent authorizers in place.
