Spotlight on Leadership. You need to navigate the tricky currents of technology, innovation and other forces changing the shape of education. The 2010 NACSA Leadership Conference answers this need with a special Leadership Channel with programming for the authorizer leader and stakeholder.
Leadership Channel sessions will be guided by some of the best leaders in charter education. Their seminar style ensures that you will develop together with your peers a unique and invaluable vision of where education and authorizing are heading in the coming years. VIEW LEADERSHIP CHANNEL ARCHIVE
Latest Best Practices. Demand for quality charter education continues to grow. As a result, innovations in authorizing occur constantly. The 2010 Leadership Conference features a Best Practices Channel for you to learn - or to share what you've discovered - about the latest authorizing methods.
Led by NACSA staff and practicing authorizers and consultants, the Best Practices Channel will be your classroom for improving your expertise as a charter school authorizer. VIEW BEST PRACTICE CHANNEL ARCHIVE
The NACSA Network. There is no better catalyst for professional development than interaction with your peers in charter authorizing. From our program format to our networking activities, the NACSA Leadership Conference is designed to promote the spontaneous conversations and peer interactions that so often reveal the path of success for you and your organization.
Learning Lab
NACSA's Learning Labs have received some of the highest conference evaluations over the past two years. Attendance can range anywhere from 10 to 20 participants and occur over an hour and a half time block during lunch. Learning Labs are structured less formally than a traditional conference presentation. Lunch is served buffet or box style and participants bring their lunch with them to the Learning Lab of their choice.
Awards for Excellence
NACSA recognizes authorizers, education leaders, public officials, policymakers, and researchers for the vital role they fulfill in upholding the promise of charter schools. NACSA celebrates these individuals by providing Awards for Excellence in three fields:
- Advancing Knowledge,
- Improving Policy, and
- Improving Practice.
Recipients of these awards will be announced at the 2010 NACSA Leadership Conference.
